I apologize for sending this later than normal - we are swimming at an 8-lane pool against a much larger team and setting the lineup was an almost all-day process yesterday - so.... - let's get to it >

THIS WEEK'S MEET DETAILS:

• Meet is Today, Thursday, June 23rd.
• Swimmers need to check in before 4:15pm at their bullpen canopy.
• Warm-ups for all swimmers but mini's will begin at 4:30.
• Mini Marlins should arrive by 4:45.
• The Mini's will swim at 5:05 followed shortly thereafter by Event 1.
• The Meet is scheduled to begin at 5:!5, this is 15 minutes earlier than normal.
• Setup Volunteers should arrive by 3:50.
• Bullpen Volunteers working 1st shift should be at their bullpens by 4:05.
• All other 1st shift volunteers should check in at our team area table by 4:30.
• The Timers/Judges/Recorders meeting will be at 4:45 in the clubhouse.
• 2nd shift volunteers can check in upon arrival so we can mark you as present and we will announce when the volunteer shift switch will occur.
• Cleanup volunteers can start the canopy take down and trash clean up near the end of the meet.
• TIMERS AND JUDGES MEETING: We will have a timers/judges meeting at 4:45 inside the clubhouse. 
• Deck managers will stage the heats under the big blue shade behind the starting blocks, then move them forward by heat.
• Ribbon writers will be on the right side of the deck, Computer timing systems and speakers will be in front of clubhouse doors on the pool deck.
• LANES: This meet uses an 8-lane pool. We will have a timer from each team in each lane due to the system they use - this is a different procedure than our standard.
• CONCESSIONS: They will have concessions – and also might have food trucks at the pool. We also will be selling riverside cheese pizza and will have snacks and drinks available to be bought from inside the clubhouse. Venmo or cash will be needed for all purchases inside the clubhouse.
• BULLPEN: ...are located behind the clubhouse in the blacktop parking lot.
• PARKING: We weren't sent any parking details but Grand Cascades has very large lots surrounding the Pool/Amenities area that should hold everyone - I also assume they will have signage directing traffic.
• OTHER NOTES FROM GRAND CASCADES: 
  • The clubhouse is off limits to everyone except elderly persons, those feeling ill from the heat and those with infant children.
  • NO glass bottles or containers.
  • NO smoking, “vaping”, or tobacco use is allowed anywhere on the property.
  • Join us for our post-meet celebration, no matter the score. We’ll have lifeguards on duty and ask the parents and coaches to help watch their younger swimmers. While we clear the lane ropes, we have a pool wide Macarena dance, then we’ll announce the score and let the kids jump in and celebrate a fun evening. We’ll play a few songs then clear the pool.
